To commemorate this 150th entry into the STTLJ pareidolia database, I am adding one of the oldest instances of Jesus pareidolia that I could find a picture for (the Shroud of Turin doesn't count as it was forged). In 1986, some Ohioans saw Jesus on the side of a soybean oil tank, and hundreds of people flocked to see the image. True to modern pareidolia, no one else can see a thing.
If cameras existed 1,000 years ago, I'm sure we'd have pictures of Jesus' head in someone's grog and mutton chops, or whatever they ate 1,000 years ago.
I dunno, back before the commercialization of religion, wouldn't this have been considered worshiping false idols?
I think that depends on if they had, in addition to cameras, some kind of eBay.

That's a few miles from my house. My dad worked at the factory next door at the time. They finally painted over it to get rid of the weirdos.
