So I did my semi-occasional Google search for recent Jesus appearances... and found a bunch of new ones just in the last month or two. And I am not anywhere close to running out of not-recent Jesus sightings in my bookmarks. I guess we should feel blessed that Jesus likes the world so much. I mean, not only did he die for our sins, but he keeps making himself appear in a bunch of random crap! And in the scheme of things, which is really more important? I think we all know the answer.
Last month, Jesus decided to manifest himself in a dog door.
Before the sighting, two unruly dogs ran the house. Bowman planned on getting rid of them, putting one to sleep. Once he saw the imagine, things changed. Some are calling the change a "divine intervention."
"I believe it was divinely created. It's too much of a coincidence," says Bowman. "The dogs created the image that saved their lives."
Bowman's 12-year-old son says the door creates all kinds of miracles from making his family happier to fixing things.
"Our ice machine was broken for a long time and it wasn't working yesterday, but then today there is ice," says son Sean Vasquez. "I guess it's the miracle of Jesus."
Obviously, these are true miracles. How could Jesus resist saving a dog's life or fixing an ice machine? I mean, it's not like there's anything more important he could be doing.
And of course, the dog door went up on ebay. It sold for $1,185.
