The Virgin Mary appeared in the form of a tree stump, which received its own little shrine in New Jersey. This tree stump apparently brought lots of people together. I'm sure Mary is very pleased with her rocks and pictures, after all that effort of transforming the tree stump.

Reader Noorul Amin from India found Jesus in a tree root in his garden about eight years ago. Jesus decided to appear exactly as he did during the crucifixion, including anatomical accuracy (so you can tell this didn't happen in the US).

The trees are catching back up! Jesus appeared in some discoloring of tree rings. This is another example of Jesus's subtlety; there are no facial features or anything else to distinguish the vaguely humanoid shape, but discerning believers are still able to sniff him out.

The only thing Jesus and his mom like more than doors are trees. Jesus appears in another one, and in a poll, 55% -- almost 1300 people -- claim to see Jesus's face.

The person who originally reported the image said that he saw a woodpecker fly away right before he saw Jesus there for the first time. Obviously the woodpecker crafted the face into the tree, which shows that Jesus is now getting too lazy to even do his own work.

This person was cutting up a tree when Jesus decided to appear on one of the pieces. And of course it ended up on ebay; the bidding was up to the fantastic sum of $20 before the seller canceled it.

According to the ebay listing, Jesus didn't appear right away, but "within two hours." Maybe Jesus was having coffee and was a little delayed.

Late last month, Jesus decided to invade yet another person's tree.

Recently, while attempting to find solace against an imminent foreclosure, they discovered that an image of Jesus had appeared in a knothole in their tree. The couple believes that this is a sign that something good is coming their way.

Yes, their house may be foreclosed, but Jesus decided to send them his image! What a loving God.

Jesus's mom shows up again, this time in a tree.

And this tree Mary is a blessing on the area.

Moreau, an 18-year superintendent of a downtown condo building, said he did a double-take.

"At first I thought I was seeing things," he said. "Then I went and got my mother-in-law to tell her. She was overwhelmed by it. She was crying."

What's more, Moreau's mom-in-law, who is in her 70s and lives with the Moreaus, last week received test results showing that her lymph node cancer appears to have been cleared.

Even for this blog, that is mind-numbingly stupid. But anyway, there's something the person who originally saw Mary would like to clear up.

"I'm not a wacko," Moreau said yesterday, adding he was stone-cold sober.
